I recently purchased the Kingston DataTraveler, and it has proven to be an excellent addition to my tech arsenal. It combines speed and security for a seamless data storage experience. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 technology ensures rapid data transfer, making it a breeze to move large files and documents. Whether I'm backing up important files or transferring multimedia content, the Kingston DataTraveler delivers impressive speed, saving me valuable time in the process. The sleek and durable metal casing not only gives it a premium look but also provides robust protection for my data. Its compact design makes it easy to carry in my pocket or attach to a keychain, ensuring that my files are always within reach when I need them. I appreciate the thought Kingston has put into security features. The drive supports password protection, giving me peace of mind knowing that my sensitive data is safeguarded against unauthorized access. This additional layer of security adds tremendous value, especially for those dealing with confidential information. The plug-and-play functionality is another standout feature. It works seamlessly with various devices, from laptops to smart TVs, without the need for any additional software installation. It's a true plug-and-play experience, which is perfect for users who want a hassle-free storage solution. It is also recommended by MSI to be used to Flash BIOS, which is originally what I purchased it for, although after realising how great of a flash drive it is, I now bring it everywhere with me. Will be interesting to find out how long it lasts before it begins to fail, being a capless design, dust and debris may get trapped within the USB port, although time will tell. In conclusion, the Kingston DataTraveler Kyson USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive is a reliable and high-performing storage solution. Whether you're a student, professional, or anyone in need of swift and secure data transfer, this flash drive is a fantastic choice. Kingston has once again delivered a product that combines speed, durability, and security, making it an essential tool in my daily tech toolkit. Highly recommended!

Great pen drive/ flash drive/ thumb drive whatever you call it... Very high quality from Kingston it's my windows recovery disk and it does a very very good job.... Very easy to use great transfer speeds... You don't get 128GB because you need to account for the partitioning system on it and it's firmware so it's storage capacity is just under 128GB but it's very very close

These are good for what they are. For anyone who specifically still has a need for USB small capacity thumbsticks these are a decent option for performance/size. Obviously a portable NVME SSD will blow these out of the water in every single measureable metric, Cost per GB, Read/Wrtie/Random speeds and capacity. So if youre needs are fastest transfers of largest volumes of data and cost effectiveness, dont even think about these thumbsticks If you NEED something even smaller 8/16GB, then you are going to find that you can only get your hands on really old stuff thats super slow like 5 MB/s write and 25 MB/s read, which is painful now that we have NVMEs that are in the 7000+ MB/s and Im not even talkign about PCIE 5.0 This is a great middle ground for tasks that dont specifically fit into smaller or larger capacity category, for example Windows/Linux bootable USBs Read Speed around 230 MB/s, which is great Write Speed is very difficult to quantify and not so great. If you just do a test using crystaldiskmark like I did it shows you around 87MB/s But you never actually see that in any real world use. Copying one large file over 500MB, I am seeing it start slow then ramp up to around 25-30 MB/s. I dont knwo how Crystaldisk gets 87MB/s So even though in the grand scheme of things they are not good at all in terms of £'s per Gigabyte (I just bought a FOUR THOUSAND GB WD BLACK SN850X NVME for £200!) and they dont really have much useable storage you may or may not be able to fit ONLY ONE 4k Bluray ripped movie onto this 32GB stick, I still give this 4 stars because in its niche use these days, it's still pretty decent compared to other generic SIMILIAR format products on the market.

I was in desperate need of a USB and this Kingston usb delivers a lot. Gets me through a lot, especially since I do a lot of pc work, files managing and more. I work within the IT sector, Cyber Security so this being in my possession, it is a great help and gets me through a lot. From what I've seen the speed is the fastest among the usb's I've seen. Plus 128gb for just £9, amazing, nice and cheap and it's very much a value of money. It's small obviously so you can take it anywhere and do what you need to do. I have a usb c adapter so I can use that as well if the other slot is taken. Overall, great stuff. Great usb.

I've bought 2 of these recently, 1 for general use and 1 to go in my Blink Sync2 Module to provide local usb storage for my blink cameras. As a lot of users have done, I ran a CrystalDiskMark on it. This was only done on 1 out of the 2 I bought and was done twice, after a quick formats with 64KB and 128KB allocation unit sizes. Write-caching is disabled for quick removal by default on my machine. Slightly higher sequential read speeds with the 64KB size, but otherwise, not really much difference. Certainly not enough to affect general everyday use for me. I haven't noticed either getting particularly hot, but being an exposed metal case would help with any heat dissipation needed. Overall, a good sized USB 3.2 Gen 1 with a nice balance between capacity, speed and price. I can certainly see me getting more of these (at various capacities as needed) for myself and family and recommending to friends.

Job’s done !

I've had these drives for a while and they are honestly amazing. Quick for installing an operating system from (if you do that often) and reliable for anything you throw at them. Also nice build (although the tolerances could've been tighter; the lanyard hook wobbles a bit.
