It’s a USB 3.0 drive, so file transfers are pretty quick—up to 150 MB/s for larger files, which is much faster than older USB 2.0 drives I’ve used in the past. That said, it works with USB 2.0 ports too, so even if you’re on an older computer, it’ll still get the job done, just at a slower speed. It can get warm when transferring large files, but hasn't felt worryingly hot, and cools down quickly. The metal construction is also a nice touch. I bought this on a lightning deal, and paid around £15 for it. What surprised me first of all was how tiny this was. I've had flash drives before, but none as small as this one, especially considering its size. It's hard to believe that it can hold 128 Gb... So, this is a nice shiny, metallic, tiny flash drive. It looks cool. And it works fine. I suspect that, like me, most people will not be too bothered about transfer rates, read/write speeds and so on. If a product does what it's claimed to, and does it reliably and consistently, then that will be fine. It's only the hardened professional that will really need to know the fine detail. And I for one am not qualified to tell you all the technical stuff. All I can tell you is how it really works for me. In the main, I use it when I'm working on Photoshop files - often very large layered PSD files in excess of 50Mb. They transfer quickly to this flash drive, and without any fuss (I use it in a USB hub). I also use it to store text files - I'm working on a very large document in excess of 300 pages. Again, everything transfers and saves quickly and easily, without any delay, and the files open quickly when I want them to. To be honest, that's about all I need to know. When I'm working, all I want is to get on with what I'm doing, without any distractions about how quickly the flash drive is working. I simply need to know that the flash drive works when I want it to, and that it won't let me down. And I know this anyway...it's a SanDisk after all. I've been using it almost continuously, for four or five hours a day, for the last four months. It works. I'm happy. That's about all there is to say. Oh, and it gets a bit warm if you use it a lot. Not hot, just slightly warm. But then, they all do. One final point. It comes with a secure password-protected system so that, if your flash drive should fall into someone else's hands, they won't be able to access your private data. I was initially impressed with this - in fact it's probably partly why I bought it, that and the fact that it was a SanDisk - but to be honest, it's just more bother to use than I really want. So I've chosen not to use the secure locker part of the drive, electing instead to use it without any security. But the fact that this option remains open to me, should I ever need to use it in the future, is still a nice feature. In summary, it's a nice little flash drive, and it works fine. It's not the most amazing bargain of all time. But for the money, it gives you a whole lot of secure storage for your money. It seems solid and well made, and it's got the SanDisk name behind it. That's really all you need to know. Would I recommend it? Always. I hope you've found this brief review useful.

I'm giving this USB stick overall 5 stars as I'm happy with my purchase, mainly because it works so far with zero issues, and delivery was super quick, and the USB came well secured, but as I stated in my rating, when it comes to value of money compared to the Gigabytes you get, it is more like 3 stars in my personal opinion, and it is just because nowadays people need 10x more space on devices like this, and simply for a reason that a lot of data and documents are done electronically and knowing that everything cost more and more these days, spending almost 53.$ on just 512G is a bit of a rip off, for that price I would rather get 1TB or at least 750GB / 820GB, ..BUT I also know that the price of USB's are similar across all stores, online or not, and that SanDisk is absolutely the best company of USB memory sticks, and that's why I consciously made the decision to buy it, despite the high price. Since those reviews are a guide for people to buy or not to buy something, I want to add that few years back I bought a set of 2x 512GB USB sticks for I think 20.$ from some unknown brand, and one got my laptop ''virused'' and second stopped working at second use, so if you looking for more affordable USB, be aware that cheaper not always means good on the long run, and even though those memory sticks are essentials in this day and age, and we all would like them to not be so pricey, it is better to invest bigger amount and have it pretty much forever, than trying to save money and in the end loose them because the device is faulty. Es algo pequeña y el material plástico da la sensación de que con el tiempo se va a caer, sin embargo la capacidad es muy grande (aunque son 232 efectivos conta lo que se anuncia) y la velocidad de transferencia es increíble ya que moví un video de 233 MB de mi computadora a la USB en menos de 10 segundos (si así como se lee), aunque también puede que influya mi equipo ya que es una MSI con i7, 8 de ram y SSD, pero aun así es espectacular la velocidad de de la memoria
